Something to really think about

This is to everyone that looks at someone crazy and wonders how did I ever meet them.
Looks are deceiving, eyes can lie, and sometimes you can should give people breaks.
"BE CAREFUL OF STONES THAT YOU THROW"
A neighbor was passing my garden one day, she stopped and I knew right away,
that it was GOSSIP, not flowers she had on her mind.
And this is what I heard my neighbor say,
"You know that GIRL down the street, should be run from our midst".
"She drinks and she talks quiet a lot, She knows not to speak to my child or to me".
My neighbor then smiled and I thought
"A TONGUE CAN ACCUSE AND CARRY BAD NEWS, THE SEEDS OF DISTRUST IT WILL SOW"
BUT UNLESS YOU'VE MADE NO MISTAKES IN YOUR LIFE, BE CAREFULL OF STONES THAT YOU THROW"
A car was speeding by , we heard the squealing of brakes, A sound that made my blood chill.
My neighbors one child had been pulled from the path, and SAVED by a girl lying still.
The child was unhurt and my neighbor cried out, Oh who was that brave girl so sweet,
I covered the crushed broken body and said, The BAD GIRL who lives down the street .
So remember, "A Tongue can accuse, and carry bad news, The seeds of distrust it will sow.
But unless you've made no mistakes in your life, Be careful of stones that you throw"
The Moral is easy, remember what you say can hurt people, but also remember that those same people you have words against may one day save you from a problem you are having.
GOD Loves each and every one of us remember that
Thanks

West Fork Arkansas

“THE MAYOR OF WEST FORK, ARKANSAS CAME TO VISIT US”

Can you say I am lucky? Can you say I am blessed? Can you just say that it was nice having someone in my wife’s family be elected as Mayor of a small town in Arkansas called West Fork?

Her name is Janice Throgmorton, and she is so vibrant and has a knack for making you feel at ease. She is funny and that is what maybe got her elected although she has some skills of making people want to work and want to prosper. She is not laid back in any way she is a mover and a shaker.

West Fork may be a small town, but most great politicians came from small towns, before they moved up the ladder of success.

Throgmorton is a name that is hard to remember let alone say, I call her Mayor Jan, that will get me by in a pinch. Her and her Husband or Christians and are active in their church and they always have something good to say to everyone. Like I say life is what you make it, “you can have a lemon and suck on it and make a sour face or you can add sugar and make lemonade and make everyone happy”

The Mayor of this small town, calls my wife, who has been sick and just her voice on the other end lifts my wife’s spirit and you can tell whenever Mayor Jan has called my wife, because she turns into a new kind of person.

To show you how strong she takes her job, I had a article printed out from the North West Arkansas paper, and it was more or less speaking about how Jan was doing in the race that was being held.

All I wanted was her autograph, on the news clipping, much to my surprise Jan had to read every line before she signed it.

Was there something hidden in it? Of course not, but everything that comes across her desk she has to sign she reads, and that is something very special because you never know what someone will try and throw into a document that is not to her liking.

West Fork Arkansas, is a small step onto a road of many doors, she may be Mayor now, but who knows where she will go from there. I mean sure she could retire and sit back and just think of things that could have been done, and those she could have helped, and if GOD has anything to do about it she could move on to a higher plan for the people in Arkansas and even those that may have never heard of Mayor Jan Throgmorton before.

I will not say that she will go any further in politics, but if you want honesty and pure hearted love, then the Mayor of this small town is someone you want working for you and in your behalf.

More about this outstanding Mayor coming to you soon as this reporter shall dig for more details.

Thanks

Shopping in your local store

“Shopping, ever been, what a circus”

I had the lucky pleasure of shopping at our local grocery store and as I was wandering down the many aisles of stacked foods, I began to watch other shoppers.

What became more amazing were those people that had their buggies stacked with foods, and those that had just a few items. It was also amazing to try and navigate the thin asles while others were parked in them and had no intention of moving.

It was almost as if I needed a horn to say “Please pardon, me and let me through”, I stood behind some shoppers who had to know I was trying to go around them and they were just looking at items and I know they knew I was there but had no intention of moving.
I finally said to them in a loud voice “Excuse Me Please”, they still did not pay attention, then all of a sudden they moved there buggy just a few inches forward and I was able to get around them. I know, they may still be there, standing and holding others up.
Then you have the ladies with those huge race car buggies and they are not only packing in the foods, but they have their children screaming, that they want this and the want that.

I make sure I make a turn on a different isle when I see this major tie up. No need to get behind a school bus that stops and checks out every can good. I would rather take the long way around the store and find a clear path, than to stand behind some screaming children.

Put it this way if my wife was well enough to shop, she would do all the shopping, but since she is not well, that means I am in charge.
So I take my time when I go, and sometimes I go late at night, or early in the morning and when I say early I mean early.

If I have to stop during the day, I will but it is not to do some major shopping, run in get what I need and out the door I go.

Most Americans, have well paying jobs and buy the major brands of foods, I mean the ones that cost the most. Me I look for the store brand, first off because it is always cheaper and cheaper is what I like. If I can buy something for 88 cents rather than 2 dollars guess which one wins. Your right the 88 cent brand, who cares if it is not the best or name brand. .

One more thing that gets on my nerves when I am shopping is these so called do it yourself check out lines, I mean when I check out I want a real American person behind the counter, one who talks and smiles. I do not like scanning items and bagging them myself. I would like to see more Americans back behind check out lines, give people work, do not let automation take over.

Ok I know I am just one American shopper that frequents local shops, but I am one that cares and if I do not get good service I will make sure that everyone knows it, plus they will loose me as a paying customer. They say who cares about me, well I care and if I can get more people to stop going to a certain store, guess who wins, I do because their business will slack off and then they will have to remember my complaint.

So as an American who shops every month several times a month, look out because I look for the bargains, and there is nothing wrong with looking for the good deals, more so in this time of need in our country.

Just be prepared to stand in long lines when you have someone with a buggy full of food. If I can make it with say 20 items hey that is all I need, I can always go back and get something else when the time gets later. No need to tie up the lines any worse than they can become.

Shop American, but look for bargains, store brands are just as good as those big name companies.

If you save a penny you have made your day.

WAL-MART Sucks BIG TIME

HOW MANY OF YOU STILL GO TO WAL-MART AND SPEND YOUR MONEY

Have you ever thought about how many times you wanted to shop, and thought the best place to go would be to a Wal-Mart in your local area, or hometown ?.

How many friends have you taken to Wal-Mart to shop and get some "GOOD DEALS" only to find out that what you were buying was not AMERICAN, but rather made in China, by workers that work in deploring factories 7 days a week and are paid maybe .17 cents a day.

The heart break, of so many young Chinese labors sweat, to make cheap items for you Mr.

and Mrs. American citizen. And what does Wal-Mart do to give you a break on this cheap item, they mark it up so high that it is not worth buying.

If the company Wal-Mart wants a store they just talk to the county in which they want to build and BAM it is done, the county rolls out the red carpets for a Wal-Mart Super Center to be built because they know that a Wal-Mart will draw money into there Counties and when Wal-mart comes in, there goes all the Mom and Pop shops that have been trying to compete with small town America. Remember, small town Mom and Pop shops do not get a break for building, they do not have roads changed, as well as stop lights placed around their businesses they just have to survive the best they can.

Personally, myself as a shopper, will not trade with a Wal-Mart store, first off because instead of hiring people that need jobs, Wal-mart has found that maybe they can get along with 4 cashiers and the rest of the store can have the "YOU SCAN IT YOURSELF" machines that would take away the use of hiring American people and that will reduce the cost for the stores to hire people, someone that needs a job, instead they have replaced people with scanners, and that is NOT right.

What was the man that created Wal-Mart thinking back then, you know him he has passed away now but his name and legacy will remain forever. I am speaking about the man from Arkansas, Sam Walton, the president and CEO of the store that had his name. What would Mr.Walton be thinking now days, about taking jobs from people and importing goods from overseas and calling his place America's Store.

Well Wal-Mart will be packed everyweekend, I just wish more people were aware of how they really treat their employess.

Guess everyone has to learn the HARD WAY,

Thanks

Waffle House's

The Liar from Douglas County

(Wake up; it’s time to read another edition from the Liar from D.C.)

Good Morning, and welcome to today’s news from Douglas County as well as the surrounding areas.

Georgia is made up as a State of beauty and all things seem so good, except for the high cost you or I am paying at the gas pump.

I remember when I was a teenager and I jumped into my hot Ford Mustang, to impress those girls and the gas was less than 35 cents a gallon, I could fill the tank and ride like the wind forever or what I considered forever.

It was so cool back then, now if I drive it better be for a good reason or I am not going. America is a place of beauty and there are so many different cultures. We should be proud of the vast differences in people of the Country. Think of it, what if we are were alike? Man this world would be a mess if everyone was like me. I mean, can you imagine what things would be like?

Or just suppose everyone was just like “YOU”, what would we all do? If we were like you in every way, can you imagine what life would be like?

I think it would be a mess; then again maybe you would straighten out this world. Oh well who cares.

Now how many of you dine at the 24 hour restaurant that is open at almost every Interstate highway crossing, as well as every town in America, called Waffle House? Where breakfast can be had no matter what time of day or night it is, and don’t forget the eggs and hash browns, that are sliced diced and smothered with what ever you want, and “Waffles” anyway you like them. “Pecan waffles are really great”.

Some people have started calling the place the “AFFLE” House leaving off the “W”. Is there a reason, do we have to be concerned? Just to show I am a true American I think today I will go and sit down at one of these fine restaurants and enjoy the food and kick back and watch all the folks coming in and out of the place. To bad they don’t have a wireless internet connection are no one would leave the building.

“HAVE YOU HAD YOUR WAFFLE HOUSE COFFEE TODAY?”

A LIAR FROM DOUGLAS COUNTY

Well here we are again, a new day Sunday January, 6th, 2008 and the sun is shinning on this new day.

The weather man has been giving us some great forecast for the rest of the day, today it is heading back into the high 60’s and that makes me feel so good.

Today I want to concentrate on things that are so simple that really know one knows until they take the first drink or taste of something that they have always liked.

Let’s start with our own city, Atlanta, the home of Coca Cola. We here takes Coke for granted. But remember when Coke came in a glass bottle? And it said Coca Cola on the side and everyone was happy. Then the company in the 70’s or 80’s thought why not change it. And then was born the new Cola that was supposed to be better than the original.

Wrong!. The famous Soft drink company had changed the recipe and anyone knows that when something is working don’t make a change.

But they gave us a new real tasting Coca Cola; in a fancy bottle as well the new 2 liter bottle.

The trouble is now they have upset those that were drinking Coke, the taste was not the same, the ump!, was gone, It did not taste the same, it was miserable and everyone that bought the new Coke said the same thing, “it’s not the same ,why did they mess with it?”.

Later Coca Cola got the message and returned with the new Coca Cola and on the side of the can, bottle or 2 liter it said “CLASSIC” Coca Cola”. So here I am drinking a “Classic” Cola, Why do people change things when they work. Leave them alone unless you have tons of folks saying how bad things taste or how bad they are.

Let’s say your sister-in-law made the best apple pie in the south, and your family on every re-union or holiday came by and they expected her to bring her apple pie as only she could make. They were all waiting and hoping to get that huge slice. Then when they cut a piece and placed it on a plate and took a bite to sit back and enjoy, hug!! It had been changed. They demanded what she had done wrong. Staring her in the face they all looked at her and she said “well, I did not add the same apples, and I added more artificial sugar, not to mention the dough was from a can I picked up at the store”. Then suddenly all the plates could be heard like a thunder as they were slammed to the table. “Do you know what you have done” they demanded, “You have taken a trick out of Coca Cola’s book of tricks”. Remember everything was great until they changed the recipe for the real brand of Coke to what they called “New” and “improved”. The sister-in-law, dropped her eye’s and in disgust said “you know your all right, I was just trying to cut some corner’s and make it a faster way, I never once thought of the taste”.

With that everyone hugged her and guess what at the next re-union, the original apple pie was there for everyone to have a slice of, and as a matter of fact she had made an extra one just to be safe.

Now that is what makes things right.

If something is good, please do not change the recipe or you could have an uprising.

Moral of the story, change nothing when it works, never skimp, and always do your best at whatever you do.

And “Thanks” Coke for giving us “Classic” Coke Cola back, even though CLASSIC makes me sound old, but that’s Ok, because you know I am a "real classic " in itself.

DCLIAR Laptops vs Desktops

Laptops vs. Desktops

All we have to say is a laptop is the way to go if you’re a computer person or geek. I mean we can all be strapped down at home or in our office to a desktop computer or we can do what most American’s are doing and plopping down the cash for a laptop so they can go wireless and use their computer anywhere and almost anyplace.

Think about it, how about going to breakfast are supper and in your hands, you have your trusty laptop, where you can do research or just check your e-mail if the place where you are at has wi-fi, which stands for a Wireless Internet connection that is available to their customers.

A laptop is also great if you have photo’s stored on board your computer and you have a client that wants to see your photo’s before hiring you.

Maybe you have documents, that you want others to have, or see, and it would be hard to lug your desktop to the corner coffee shop. Think about it, you’re a writer and your out and you are needing to take some notes, well your laptop has Microsoft word on board are a simple notebook program to make those quick notes, it’s better than having a pocket full of notes you tried to scratch in a hurry.

So when you think about buying a new computer, go for the laptop. Then again if you think you would not like a laptop, visit a friend who has one, better yet go to a store where you can have access to the keyboard and test it out. I guaranty that the laptop is the one you will want in your home and in your possession.

Most people do not realize that with a laptop you have a place to add another monitor as well as another keyboard except it would disable your keyboard on your laptop.

Then again when making the purchase make sure you have a salesperson that is not just working on a commission and wants to sell you everything that he can find that you most likely do not need. If the salesperson is pushy, hey say see you I have to check another store he will get the hint and you will be happier in the end.

Also make sure you have enough USB ports that are important if you plan on hooking a printer and a camera as well as an external hard drive.

Well now get out there and shop till you drop and find the computer that makes you happy and doesn’t give you a hassle every time you turn it on.

Ok, theirs is another reason to own a laptop computer vs. the desktop (please don’t get me wrong, having a desktop is also handy at home) you can’t carry it from room to room, but who wants too.

Try adding a web-cam if you are a student, and are about to take on line courses. Just make sure when you buy the computer you want has lots of memory and ram. Don’t let a salesperson sell you things that you don’t need tell them exactly what your need is, and most honest salespeople will look out for you.

So study all the information you can regarding the computer you want, and make sure it will do what you need and not fail to run programs that are the most important things for you.

Computer’s are like cars, some like Ford’s and some like Chevy’s, and some rather have a cheap car just to get them from point “A” to point “B”.

The cheapest ones fail to make the grade, and you will be stuck with a computer that you have no need of, and most important you are not able to upgrade.

So good luck and happy hunting, I hope you find the computer of your dreams.
